Evolution of the graphic charter and of the website
Marquage Moderne wants its brand image to evolve, with a new logo, sober and expurgated, symbolising the two axes of activity of the company: industrial marking and products of communication.
According to the new charter, the website becomes easier for navigation and accessible for all. It proposes various information over products, materials and techniques, and allows to contact directly the commercial service for quotations.

ERP setting up

We have decided to change our software and we have opted for the ERP clipper software. With it, we can manage :
• production : customers and suppliers orders, delivering time, manufacturing planning, range elaboration and product word list, analysis between what was realized and what is projected to do, quality follow-up.
• sales : exploration, quotation realization, orders, customers and business follow up, delivery slip, invoices.

New numerical printing machine in high definition

This is the first machine of this generation ever installed in Europe. It prints flat materials until 50 mm thickness, whatever the material: plastic, metal, glass or even in wood. This machine is distinct thanks to its printing quality and the wonderful result of the colors. The printing size is 1.25 x 2.50 m. It is used for the realization of road signs, POS and communication products.

Obtaining the ISO 9001 standard
After several years of intensive work to answer to market requirements, we finally obtain the ISO standard.
The ISO standard is a quality certification. By having this standard, Marquage Moderne shows the importance of its customers satisfaction. In order to guaranteefy the manufacturing process, different controls are done.
Factory extension
In order to improve and to organize better the products’ manufacturing, and also to give more space and adapted premises to our personal, a factory extension of 700 m2 is done. This means that we have built include a raw materials stock, an area without dust for printing, new offices, social premises and a bigger car park space.

New cutting and machining machine.

Mecanumeric 3015 PRO is a machine having a working travel of 3050 x 1520 mm and 2 different cutting ways:
• An “Omlat” spindle, able to cut plastic, aluminium, brass until 50 mm.
• A cutting knife for thin and soft materials such as vinyl or cardboard.

It has a video camera allowing to be wedged on a marked stand and to cut it with high precision. The maximum speed of moving axes is 417 mm/s.

Its software Vision Numeric Type 3 disposes of a CFAO 2D, 2.5D and 3D module. This 2D graphical module allows to create new designs and to modify images that are imported. With the artistic 3D module for sculpture and engraving, it is possible to create complex designs. This software minimizes the moving of tools and organizes in a profitable way the respective tasks.

Marquage Moderne is one of the “Gazelle” companies

On the 11th of May 2006, Marquage Moderne has obtained the “Gazelle” quality label, prize dedicated to the 2 000 most dynamic companies in France.

Renaud Dutreil, the SMEs’, trade, craft industry and the professions’ minister has done a choice. Between all French companies having between 5 and 250 employees, he has selected 2 000 self employed SMEs whose turnover has increased by more than 34 % in 2003 and again in 2004. This “Gazelle” label brings to SMEs knowing high growth a financial support in their developing projects.

Numerical printing integration

In order to realize small productions or printing prototypes on soft materials (vinyl, polycarbonate, paper, or labels packs with variable data), Marquage Moderne has decided to buy a new numerical printing machine with a cutting system included.

2004

Screen printing pole

Screen printing technology allows Marquage Moderne to print series of sign plates made of metal or plastic, or even stickers with one or several colors. This technology also completes numerical printing or finishing by varnishing it or printing a white support.

Integration of laser engraving on metal

This new equipment enables the marking on colored anodized aluminium plates or on stainless steel plates with variable data. This machine, especially realized to measure for Marquage Moderne, is able to realize an adapted marking for sign plates or ID plates.

Marquage Moderne moves to Riom

Due to the development of Marquage Moderne's activity, a new move is necessary on July 2003 in new buildings. The place chosen is the “Parc européen d’entreprises” in Riom. The “Parc européen d’entreprises” welcomes many well-known companies such as “les Eaux de Volvic”, Cooper Menvier MSD or Altadis. Our premises have a surface area of 800 m² for the building and an extension until 8000 m² is possible.
Riom is a city which counts 25 000 inhabitants. Near from all major routes, we are just at 5 minutes from the motorways and we are easily noticeable.

2001

Marquage Moderne moves to Aubière

Our first workshop becoming too short through the years in comparison with the road sign plate activity development, the company moved in new, bigger and more functional premises, in an industrial area in Aubière, near Clermont-Ferrand.

1999

CO2 laser engraving integration

After mechanical engraving, the CO2 laser engraving is a process offering productivity benefit for plastic work, thanks to its very easy use. With a soft marking resolution, the quality obtained is a fineness engraving. It is now possible to engrave photos with a high resolution and the result is much closed to the original on colored anodized aluminium, Gravoply 2 or on PMMA.

With this machine, we are able to realize marquetry on wood for knife handle for instance.

Marquage Moderne is born

To answer to the identification plates need for the gold chains of Van Cleef and Arpels jeweler, Philippe Ganne has created a mechanical engraving company. The realized product is a small gold plate with an etching. This engraving consists in an identification number of the jewel.

At that time, the premises are in Clermont-Ferrand.
